Chair: Janice Roberts, General Partner, Mayfield Fund An advocate of ubiquitous communications Janice is passionate about "The Importance of Being Wireless" and hopes to leverage the boom in wireless connectivity worldwide. After holding a number of operating positions in communications and technology companies in Europe and the United States, Janice joined Mayfield from 3Com Corporation in June 2000.  Janice currently serves on the Board of Directors of Aether Systems, AlterEgo Networks, MobileAria, MobileStar, Omnisky and Coactive Networks.  Immediately prior to joining Mayfield, Janice served as Senior Vice President, Business Development, 3Com Corporation, and President, 3Com Ventures where her early-stage investment portfolio included Juniper Networks, Extreme Networks, Alteon WebSystems, Aether and OmniSky.  During her tenure at 3Com, she also led 3Com's Global Marketing Operations and a number of new business initiatives, including its highly successful Palm Computing subsidiary. Director: Robin Murray, Partner, 3I Group Robin Murray joined 3i in 2001 with a strategic and operational technology background in both Europe and the US.  Most recently he was CFO and VP Corporate Development of iPIN – the leader in internet and wireless secure payment technologies. Previously, as a senior executive with THINK New Ideas Inc. (subsequently acquired by Answer Think Consulting Group), he successfully oversaw two corporate mergers and was responsible for financial operations and corporate strategy.  In Europe, Robin worked at Ernst & Young, where he advised on corporate mergers and acquisitions and was the senior executive on a number of high profile corporate turnarounds in the early 90s.  Later, at McKinsey & Co., he provided strategic marketing and corporate finance advice to European-based multinational companies.  At J. Sainsbury PLC (FTSE-100), he was responsible for developing and rolling out new business opportunities, from start-up ventures to corporate mergers, acquisitions and disposals. Director: Tony CM Philipp, Founder - iTransEuro.com , Chairman - Mobile Commerce Ltd. Mr Philipp founded iTransEuro.com in December of 1999, with the purpose of helping US and European companies expand their Internet business throughout Europe. Locally, Mr. Philipp is a member of the Independent Directors Program of 3i plc, as well as the Tristate Investment Group. In September, 2001, 3ii nominated Mr. Philipp to be the Chairman of Mobile Commerce Ltd in the UK; Mobile Commerce is a leading provder of Wireless Location Based Services. Mr. Philipp was formerly Chief Operating Officer for Lycos Bertelsmann in Germany. He joined Lycos in 1996 and under his leadership formed a Joint Venture between Lycos and Bertelsmann. Building on the relationship with licensing partners such as Grolier, BOL, Cdnow, Netscape, Microsoft, Freeserve, Lycos Bertelsmann has become the dominant Internet Pan European Navigation Service with offices and local products in Germany, France, UK, NL, Spain, Italy, and Sweden. Prior to joining Lycos, Mr. Philipp established the European Magellan in France, Germany and the UK, which was subsequently bought by Excite. Mr. Philipp also spent six years with AT&T, building their European Global Account Management Program, as well as starting the Profile Initiative Program in Germany. Mr Philipp is a dual citizen in Germany and the USA, and holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from Clemson University , a Master of International Business (MBA) from the University of South Carolina, and was a Fulbright Scholar at the University of Cologne (Germany).  Currently, Mr. Philipp serves on the board of the following companies: Vavo.com; Hospitality Partners, Sharpvista.com, as well as the advisory board of Pinpoint.com and WindWire.com Director: Allan Green, Chairman of Paris-based investment firm Candel & Partners Director: Patrice Peyret, CEO of Mobileway
