700 New Oracle9i Application Server Partners to Provide
an Enhanced and Easily Deployable E-Business Infrastructure
Oracle Corp. the world's largest
enterprise software company, today announced growing support
among Oracle9i Application Server (Oracle9iAS) partners
for the latest version of the product (see related press
releases). The growing list of partners for Oracle9iAS,
including companies such as Computer Associates, KPMG Consulting,
Siemens and Verisign, provide a wide range of Internet services
and applications that enable Oracle customers to meet evolving
business needs and to maximize the integrated technologies

"Oracle9i Application
Server represents a significant footprint in open standards,"
said Bob Ronchi, vice president of strategic alliances at
FatWire. "The joint dedication to Java 2 Enterprise
Edition (J2EE) allowed quick and easy installation and deployment
of FatWire's UpdateEngine dynamic
content management software. During the beta certification
testing on Oracle9iAS Release 2, UpdateEngine was up and
running from a cold start in half a day -- an impressive
feat."
Content Management
Featuring a fast and scalable J2EE engine for content authoring
and delivery, Oracle9iAS delivers a highly reliable and
secure platform for deploying mission-critical business
applications. The combination of Oracle9iAS and the powerful

"Testing our J2EE application within Oracle9i Application
Server went seamlessly and was performed in less than a
day," said Balaji Yelamanchili, vice president of Products
for Documentum. "We modified zero lines of code. This
proves developers of content-rich solutions can rapidly
develop and deploy content-rich Web applications on Oracle9iAS,
without major code changes. The Oracle and Documentum solution
illustrates reduced 'time-to-Web'."
Developer Tools
The lightweight footprint, fast execution environment, and
support for the latest J2EE and Web services standards have
driven developers to embrace Oracle9iAS. Developer tool
partners have helped expand the variety of tools available

application testing and debugging; memory leak detection
and removal; performance and scalability bottleneck identification;
component assembly; and application deployment. Key Oracle9iAS
developer tool partners include Borland Software Corporation,
Computer Associates' Advantage Joe, Compuware's OptimalJ,
Macromedia, NeuVis Software, Rational Software, Sitraka,
